3/20/12 - I will be offering a Loot through Lifebooker some time this week.
It should probably live Friday and will run for appoximately 5 days. The Loot (a daily deal) is a great resource for people to receive services at a great discount. The Loot I'll be offering is a one-hour session for $29 or a package of 3 sessions for $75. So...if you're listed with Lifebooker and receive their discount emails, look for my Loot offer.

3/19/12 - I will be taking another Reiki class in April.
The class will be held on Sunday, April 15. I love working with Reiki. The therapy is so subtle but yet very effective. I'm looking forward to learning more and applying it to my Reiki sessions.

3/18/12 - Planning on taking a course on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The class will be in about 2 months. I'm excited about the class. It'll work very nicely with working with veterans and others suffering from traumatic events, helping them get their lives back.

3/17/12 - Donated two gift certificates for St. Pete's Episcopal Church.
They'll be having their annual fundraising gala this year in May.

2/27/12 - I joined Hands for Heroes supplying free massage for returning veterans.
I signed up with Hands for Heroes to supply free massages for returning veterans. This is only a small show of support for our troops. Being a veteran myself, I couldn't not do this. I'm looking forward to working with our service men and women.

2/07/12 - I am now offering tune-up massage at On the Rocks.
On the Rocks is where I took my Reiki class. They were looking for a massage therapist for Wednesdays. I'll be providing tune-up massages on Wednesdays from 12 noon until 4:00p. Stop on by and de-stress.

12/26/11 - If I was fortunate enough to work with you over the Christmas holiday - Thank You.
Thank you for allowing me to work with you at Ronald McDonald House. I'll be sending each of you a 'Thank You' email. Working with each of you was a gift to me. Again, thank you. My thoughts and wishes will be with you and your families.

12/24 - 12/25/11 - Volunteering at Ronald McDonald House in Chicago.
For the 4th year, I will be volunteering at Ronald McDonald House in Chicago performing massage for parents and other family members for the Christmas holiday. I thoroughly enjoy volunteering there over the holidays. If you're ever given the opportunity to volunteer, you won't be sorry. It's a personally gratifying.

11/23 - 11/24/11 - Volunteering at Ronald McDonald House in Chicago.
For the 4th year, I will be volunteering at Ronald McDonald House in Chicago performing massage for parents and other family members. I first started volunteering there while still in school. I love volunteering and this is a great oppotunity to give something to my community. If you're ever in a position to volunteer (anywhere), do yourself a favor - volunteering is profoundly enriching.

11/13 - 11/14/11 - This weekend, I completed the Japanese Reiki I.
I've been wanting to take the class for a while to at least try to learn more about Reiki. I've read a couple of books; but there's nothing like taking a hands-on class. The instructor's name was Deanne M. Lozano and she was excellent. It was through On The Rocks Gems and Jewelry. I'm looking forward to taking Reiki II in March 2012.

11/05/11 - I've donated two gift certificates for one-hour massages Equality Illinois' Fall Women's Social.
It's an annual event through Equality Illinois. I'm also planning on donating two additional gift certificates for their annual Gala - Justice for All. It's scheduled for Saturday, February 11, 2012. So, put the event on your calendar and look out for the gift certificates. They'll be part of their silent auction offerings. (Visit their site to get more information.)

11/01/11 - I will be running a coupon offer on QPon.com!
The coupon will be for paying for one one-hour session and receiving two. The cost to you will be $80. Simple. QPon is a lot like Groupon and Living Social. It's a smaller concern (they started offering coupons in June 2011) and focuses on local businesses that support the LGBT community. I hope you'll be able to take advantage of the offer.

08/13/11 - Have the benefits of massage and save money at the same time.
Per some of your requests/suggestions, I've added PayPal to my site to make paying for sessions easier. You're now ablt to purchase packages, my Wellness Massage Membership, gift certificates, and more with a credit/debit card on my website. Thanks for the input. As always, your feedback is much appreciated.

09/20/11 - I now have PayPal on my site in order to purchase sessions via credit/debit cards.
In order to make receiving the health benefits of massage more affordable to you, I've added two new options.
- Purchase a 5-session package and save $10 off each session and receive 50% off of your 6th session.
- Join my Wellness Massage Membership. You receive a massage a month and save $15 per session.

03/24/11 - I am now providing massage solely through the Ravenswood location.
As I've mentioned through either a phone call or email, I have decided to focus my attention seeing clients at the Ravenswood location. I'm still seeing clients at my fulltime location in Evanston, but private clients will now be seen only at 4256 North Ravenswood.

01/01/11 - May this new year bring you health, happiness, and fond memories.
For the months of January and February, current clients will receive $10 off their next appointment.

06/17/10 - It's official - I am moving my practice. The move is scheduled for August 1st.
The new address is 4256 North Ravenswood. It's going to be on the third floor, but I don't know the suite number. I'll post more information as it develops.

05/21/10 - I donated two gift certificates to Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation for an upcoming fundraising event - 2010 Summer Soiree "Midsummer Night's Dream".
As you know, I've begun seeing cancer patients for comfort-oriented cancer massage and I am excited to offer this small token of support. You may visit their website at Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation. to find out more about them.

05/19/10 - I donated two gift certificates to St. Pete's Episcopal book sale and auction fundraiser.
One of my clients is a member of St. Pete's. I donated a couple of gift certificates at last year's event and I'm glad to begin a tradition of support.

04/15/10 - I may be moving my massage practice to another bigger and better location.
I'll keep you posted as to the details, but it looks like I'll be re-locating my office to a new location. Talks are progressing and a walk-thru is scheduled for early June. But, not to worry; I'll post the new location here when/if the move goes through. I'll post updates here.

04/8/10 - To better serve your scheduling needs, I'm now seeing clients in the morning during the week.
A number of you have asked to schedule morning appointments. Until recently, I have been unable to accommodate your requests. However, as of May 1, I will now be able to schedule appointments for early mornings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There will be two timeslots: 9:00am and 10:30am (of course, should you need to schedule something a little earlier, just let me know and we'll work something out). As always, check my homepage to see which times are available. I update these times every evening around 10pm.

04/5/10 - I'm planning on offering chair massage at some of Chicago's neighborhood festivals this summer. For a few years now, I've wanted to offer chair massage at some of the local neighborhood festivals in Chicago. However, because of my full-time work schedule, I haven't pursued it. This year, I'm looking into a few. I love chair massage and I'm looking forward to it. I'll let you know when and where - stop on by.

04/2/10 - It's official. I am now registered for Massage for People Living with Cancer.
It's a four-day class taught by Isabel Adkins. It's the first week of June. Amazingly, the class is during the week (not the weekend), so I'll still be able to see some of you on Saturday and Sunday. I'm really looking forward to this class. This will allow me to work safely with clients suffering from cancer.

03/23/10 - For my runners, I've added a Marathon Package to save you money.
To help make your body more prepared for your upcoming marathon/running season, I've added a Marathon Package. It'll save you a lot of money. There are two options. Option #1: 5 sessions and Option #2: 10 options. To learn more, click here.

03/17/10 - Client question: "How often should I come in?"
While working on a client today, he asked how often he should come in to get his neck 'back into shape'. I've been seeing him since 2008 for head, neck, shoulder, and lower back issues. Like a lot of clients, he waits until he's already in pain before he schedules an appointment. I told him, like I tell all of my clients, that if he's prone to have recurring pain patterns (neck or low back, for example), he's better off being proactive rather than reactive. I told him that instead of seeing me two or three times to 'fix' his neck, he'd be better off seeing me once a month or so for maintenance sessions. That way, I could work on his neck but also other areas that may need attention.

03/15/10 - Donated two one-hour gift certificates to Center for Domestic Peace.
This is my second annual gift donation to them. They offer a great service providing support for abused and battered women. If you're interested, you can visit their site at Center for Domestic Violence. They're having their annual fundraiser on March 17th. Good luck!

03/8/10 - New rates go into effect on May 1 for new clients.
My rates are changing effective May 1. The new rates are going to be: 30 minutes - $50; 60 minutes - $80; and 90 minutes - $110. For current clients, the old rates will be the same for one year.

03/1/10 - I'm expanding my hours and now have two locations to serve you better.
A number of you have asked me to open up my schedule for increased availability. Well, it's official! Not only will I continue to take appointments on Monday evenings, as well as evenings on Saturday and Sunday, I've also signed a lease for Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Instead of seeing clients at just one address, I'll also be seeing you at a second address. Depending upon which day you wish to be seen will determine which location.

03/1/10 - I've added a number of ways for you to save money on your sessions.
Besides already offering $10 off your second visit, I've also instituted a referral program. When you refer someone to me and they schedule an appointment, you'll receive $10 off your next session and they'll receive $10 off their first session. Read more about my specials.

03/1/10 - It's gonna be Spring soon and Spring brings changes.
I'm reworking my website. While I'm not going to take down my website, or wait until all the changes are done, I've decided to upload the changes as they're finished. So...I hope you'll bear with me. Thanks. George
